Mike Lindell Faces $800K Lawsuit from DHL for Unpaid Bills

Mike Lindell

Mike Lindell, the conservative activist and prominent election conspiracy theorist, finds himself entangled in yet another legal dispute, this time with the international parcel delivery company DHL. The legal woes come as DHL has filed a lawsuit against Lindell’s business, MyPillow, alleging that the company is in arrears to the tune of nearly $800,000. According to court records acquired by USA TODAY, the lawsuit claims MyPillow failed to make timely payments for parcel delivery services, which were required to be settled within a 15-day billing period. This alleged nonpayment constitutes a breach of the contract between the two parties.

The legal action, initiated on Monday in Hennepin County District Court in Minneapolis, follows a previously reached settlement in May 2023. Under the terms of this settlement, MyPillow was obligated to pay DHL a total of $775,000 through a structured plan of 24 monthly installments starting in April 2024. However, the lawsuit contends that MyPillow has only remitted just under $65,000 of the agreed amount. As a result, DHL issued a notice of default to MyPillow on July 2, which has led to the current legal pursuit for approximately $800,000, in addition to accrued interest and legal fees that could substantially increase the total financial burden.

Lindell has refrained from commenting on the lawsuit when contacted by USA TODAY.

This recent legal battle is part of a broader pattern of courtroom struggles for Mike Lindell. Earlier this year, U.S. District Judge John R. Tunheim ordered Lindell to pay $5 million to a software engineer who effectively debunked claims Lindell had used to allege that China interfered with the 2020 U.S. presidential election. Additionally, in April, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to review Lindell’s appeal concerning the seizure of his phone by FBI agents. This seizure was part of a federal investigation into the alleged sharing of sensitive information from Colorado’s computerized voting systems.

Lindell’s legal troubles have also extended to his representation. In 2023, his defense attorneys in various defamation cases requested the court’s permission to withdraw from his cases due to non-payment of their fees. These ongoing legal issues highlight a tumultuous period for Lindell, as he grapples with both financial and reputational challenges.
